About MaxWell Rowland

360-Degree Insight. Principled Fairness.

Maxwell (Max) J. Rowland brings over 30 years of ground-up construction industry experience and advanced dispute resolution credentials to his work as a neutral. His career spans the entire project lifecycle — from hands-on trade work and site supervision to project management, owner’s representation, and executive leadership.

Serving as President of a full-service general construction firm for 11 years, Max directed corporate strategy, negotiated major commercial contracts, and managed multi-tiered subcontractor and vendor relations. He maintained ultimate financial and legal accountability for commercial project delivery, navigating real-world change order management, material defect claims, and complex commercial insurance premium and claim structures.

As an Owner’s Representative and Project Executive, Max also served as a fiduciary voice for ownership groups, managing multi-million-dollar project budgets, vetting development pro formas, enforcing strict compliance, and actively mediating interests between public entities, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors to resolve critical disputes before they escalated to formal litigation.

Because he has successfully managed both sides of the primary contract, Max possesses a truly holistic view of project risk, contract administration, and job site safety compliance. As a mediator and arbitrator, he applies this holistic approach — drawing on deep operational experience — to cut through technical complexities and guide disputing parties toward practical, lasting resolutions.
